Refreshing a wireless network on your smartphones or tablets is important
If you have a wireless network that you have connected to before in the past on your smartphone or tablet that is no longer working you may need to remove and renew the wireless network connection. Depending on the settings you have on your smartphone or tablet you may auto reconnect to the network after changes may have been made and your device will connect but not function properly.
A good test is to launch your internet browser of choice and pick a site to see if it loads. A good indicator of you being "connected" but it not working properly is if you have the Good App and it connects does it give you your latest email or has it seemed to have stopped receiving new emails.
On the iPhone you will need to click the forget this network button next to the affected wireless network in your general - WiFi settings.
Re-associating with a wireless network you have not been connected to in a while is always a good idea to make sure you maximize the speed and efficiency of the connection - refreshing it to get any updates that may have been done. The same is true of a home wireless network if you keep the same SSID and security key but replace the hardware.
If you have any questions let IT know.
Thanks!
